Don
Mears, Senior Consultant, Analytical Training Consultants (ATC),
Houston Analytical Systems Company (HASCO) coordinates the sales,
marketing and training program for XRF/OES PMI (Thermo Fisher Niton)
analyzers. This involves the analyzers operation and training
in radiation safety that meets local, State, Federal and
International registration requirements. This includes
certified report generation for proper material verification
programs with the owners/users in the petrochemical, oil and gas
industry. Mr. Mears has worked in the oil, gas and refining
industry for 30 plus years. He held positions which included
preparation and delivery of training presentations and has taught
numerous industry courses explaining and applying API standards and
recommended practices. This included involvement in two API
work groups for revision of API Manual of Petroleum Measurement
Standards Chapter 3-Tank Gauging Section 1B-"Standard Practice for
Level Measurement of Liquid Hydrocarbons in Stationary Tanks by
Automatic Tank Gauging" and API 2350 Overfill Protection for Storage
Tank in Petroleum Facilities. Since 1978, he has been affiliated
with the Instrument Society of America. He also serves as the
company's business development manager. He continues to
educate and support the industries needs for safe operating practices.
Raymond
Lindeen, is General Manager of Houston Analytical
Systems Company (HASCO). Mr. Lindeen has 30 plus years
experience with major emphasis on management of marketing, sales and
instruction of analytical instrumentation to the petrochemical and
refining industries. As General Manager, he coordinates all
sales and training for analytical instrumentation including Thermo
Fisher Niton XRF/OES PMI analyzers. Working with the “Texas
Department of State Health Services Radiation Branch”, Raymond
Lindeen has provided certified educational and training classes for
proper use of XRF analyzers.
As a member since 1976 of the Instrument Society of America, he served as Chairman of the Instrument Society of America's Houston Analysis Division Subsection. Other affiliations include the Gulf Coast Gas Measurement Society and Gas Producer's Association.
